I can’t even begin with how AMAZING Chinese food is. Just wow. Your local ‘Australian’ Chinese restaurant is nothing like what I’ve been eating these passed 3 months. Can’t even deal with the variety of tasty foods.
Every day at work the entire office go out to a fancy restaurant for lunch. Why? Because food is so cheap! Dining at these fancy restaurants may look excessive in price, but actually- it’s only costing me about $4AUD.

I have also been a master chef in my home kitchen, storming up a few Asian stir-fry’s and vegetables. When I cook at home, I usually meal prep, therefore I only need to cook twice a week. Working full time has made me so exhausted after each day, I never have the energy to cook unless it’s the weekend. However, that’s me being lazy too. Sometimes I walk across the road to the vegetable shop and buy a Pak Choy, cabbage and carrot and throw them in a pan on their own. Lately I’ve often been cooking with my roommates, which has been a real treat. I’ve been able to introduce them to my type of cuisine and vice versa.

However, one thing I’m not all that fussed about is RICE. So over it. Every day they eat it here- breakfast, lunch and dinner. I occasionally eat it with stir-frys but I usually just have the stir-fry on its own.
I’ve been to so many restaurants so far that I’ve lost count! It’s so good to have such a selection and variety of foods other than just Chinese too! I’ve been to an Italian restaurant, Korean and Japanese! One of the restaurants down the road from work is an Italian/ Chinese restaurant that has no chopsticks! Very fancy forks and spoons, no knives. This is where the office orders pizza and spaghetti- magnificent! I’ve been introduced to so many traditional Chinese dishes and absolutely love Gongbao Jiding! So much so, that I’ve learnt the recipe by heart and have started cooking it at home! Watch out Mum!
