To wake up to an outdoor floor of white puff was actually insane! I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face; I was so happy! I haven’t been in snow since I was little, I was so excited! This day was freezing cold, about -7 degrees. The negative temperatures lasted about two weeks. Luckily enough I had an air conditioning unit in my bedroom, ramping it up to 30 degrees every day. I was slip and sliding every where I went, snow was everywhere! Everyone was walking around with umbrellas dodging it all, but here’s me rolling around on the group getting soaked and having the time of my life!

The only downside to this day was running out of hot water. All of my roommates were still away on holidays so it was only me living in the apartment. I had to contact my supervisor to come over and help me fix it, I had no idea. We had to travel to the Tongzhou water facilities building to put money on this eftpos card to then swipe in the machine at home to turn the water back on. Water is so cheap here! It cost 150 yuan (approximately $35AUD) for 2 months. However, it’s a prepaid system so once it’s all gone, there’s no warning.

It makes me so excited just writing about the snow, I loved it snow much! I probably looked like the biggest loser running around my complex in the snow but I was so happy. Definitely one of the biggest highlights being in Beijing, Bei Snow!
