Let's go Shopping!

Shopping Shopping Shopping! My absolute favourite thing to do- and especially in China! Everything is so cheap that buying things become very addictive over here! On my second night here I accidently swiped $175 AUD on my card at H&M- Don’t tell Dad! This was my second night in CHINA. I AM HERE FOR THREE MONTHS. I did need clothes, warm clothes for the freezing cold weather. I didn’t expect it so be so cold, into the negative temperatures for such a long period of time (about 14 days of -7 degrees). But also, I needed a variety of things to wear because I can never have enough clothes!

Food shopping here is great! Again, very very cheap! I go a bit over-board with my Asian vegetables, but they are delicious and very fresh! I’m slowly getting into the weird foods here such as uncooked seasoned potato, red bean pasted cakes and their gross Nescafe coffee. THEY DON’T HAVE PROPER COFFEE, except for very few cafes. One thing that does frustrate me is the coffee here. Approximately $5-8AUD for a small coffee and a café that’s full of water and dirt. I have only been lucky twice in receiving a decent coffee, send help!

The awkward moment you have to buy BABY WIPES to wipe your make up off your face. Yeah, they don’t sell makeup wipes here. I have been into almost every single shop here, and not one of them sells makeup wipes, nor does online! Thankfully I have caring parents who have spent $25 in postage to send me bulk wipes!

Where’s your PRAM? Scrap that idea.. These days babies and young kids are dragged along in wheeled baskets! I couldn’t believe it when walking around the shopping centres and streets!

Overall, the shopping is fantastic! I could definitely get used to this! I’m unsure of my bank accounts though; they have received a few slashings over the past couple of months!
